Hillsborough County Tennis Association was organized in May of 2007 and
incorporated at that same time and within 7 months was recognized by
the IRS as a nonprofit 501(c) (3) corporation. The HCTA will work to
help foster the development of public facilities and events and serve
as an advocate for tennis programs while striving to create an
environment where everyone is given the opportunity to learn, play and
grow the game of tennis regardless of race, age, religion, ethnicity or
socio-economic states. The HCTA will strive to bring community
awareness of “the sport of a lifetime” to the public, and work to be
the communication source for Hillsborough County tennis. A Board of
Directors and committee structure of volunteers form policy, provide
direction, and perform specific committee duties. Its Executive Board
is comprised of a President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer.
There may be also up to 10 authorized Board members.
