The HCTA Junior tennis committee is seeking volunteers and partnerships that represent local tennis professionals, business leaders, youth organization members, high school tennis players, and parents. Please, inquire to HCTA if you would like become a volunteer.Specific areas of need for volunteers of all ages:
- Quick Start Tournaments and Quick Start Advocacy - Almost anyone with basic tennis knowledge can get certified to teach Quick Start with smaller nets, smaller courts, smaller racquets, and slower balls for smaller people of ages 5-12 years old. We can help you get certified to assist at events if you like or you can simply help us with letting us know of youth tennis opportunities at area YMCAs, Youth after school programs, etc. that the HCTA can partner with. We can help create fun learning environment for tennis that offers great exercise for our youth of Hillsborough County.
- Disadvantaged Youth - We are looking for disadvantaged youth areas and associated area organizations that would like to partner to non only create programming for Quick Start but for ages above 12 as well.
- Rookie Tournaments – HCTA hosts 3 to 4 Rookie tournaments each year and we are in need of more HCTA ambassadors to assist with 1 or more of these events which is a Saturday time commitment only.
